Bella Hadid Channels Joan Jett in Her Fierce New Campaign

Pucker up, Bella Hadid! Just after she inked a major deal with Max Mara, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills daughter has scored another coup. Drumroll, please…Bella is the new face of NARS’ new Powermatte lipstick and fall 2017 campaign.

The brand’s founder François Nars has glowing things to say about his new muse. According to W, the beauty magnate said: “I love Bella. She has a very strong and powerful look that I think is very well suited to a bold product, like Powermatte.” This love affair isn’t one-sided, either. Bella gushed to Harper’s Bazaar Australia: “François Nars has such beautiful energy. He’s taken so many iconic photographs, so for me to have the opportunity to work with him was a dream come true.” 

The photos that accompany the new campaign feature Bella as a rocker babe. She channels Joan Jett with a shaggy mane, smudged eyeliner, and layered necklaces sprucing up a barely-there leather top. 

As for the new lipstick, it’s available in 20 shades and reportedly has a “zero-gravity feel” and tons of pigment. Matte lipsticks are shaping up to be big for fall, by the way: the fashion industry’s favorite makeup artist, Pat McGrath, is dropping a line called Lust Matte:Trance. We’re not quite ready to say goodbye to glitter lips, but if anyone can convince us to drop the shimmer—it’s Bella.
