It’s the skin-conscious girl’s secret to scoring a healthy, sun-kissed glow but the rules for bronzer aren’t the same for everyone.
Make-up artist to the stars Allison Boyle says bronzer is a great way to add definition where you need it most: “It can shape the face and give the illusion of symmetry if needed.”
It’s important to apply bronzer so it complements the shape of your face and Boyle recommends using a matte formula for contouring. She says this will help you to avoid having shimmer in areas you’re trying to reduce.
“And remember to blend all products really well so there’s no harsh lines,” she says.
“Apply bronzer below your cheekbones, blending up to the temple and along your jawline.”
“Start by applying your bronzing powder below the cheekbones and then blend up along the sides of your temple and forehead.”
“Bronzer should sweep below your cheekbones, across the top of your forehead and on the tip of your chin.”
“Use bronzer below your cheekbones and across the forehead, blending into the hairline.”
